A bedside eval (92610) and MBS (92611_ can be charged on the same day
with the use of the modifier -59. Go to
	http://www.asha.org/members/issues/reimbursement/coding/CCI_edits_SLP.ht
m for a list of SLP codes that can and cannot be billed on the same day.

The 2007 Medicare Fee Schedule for SLPs is also on ASHA's site. You can
enter the title in the Search box to get there.

My understanding is the MBS charge to Medicare incudes the "bedside"
assessment and you can not bill for both.

	Hi all.

I have a question re: billing and Medicare. From what I was reading on
the ASHA medicare billing list, and 92610 (swallowing assessment), they
list this a something that is usually billed prior to videofluoroscopy.
At our facility, we bill just for the videofluoroscopy. I always
wondered why we didn't bill for the initial history, oral peripheral
exam and swallow assess, before bringing the patient to radiology. It
seems that we should be able to bill for this. I brought this to my
supervisor's attention, however, they are not SLP's and I was hoping
that I could get help here, as I usually do.

Thanks so much for your help again,
