[Dysphagia] Fluoro time and instructions
You try for 2.5 min of actual exposure with a max of 4-5 minutes. Eleven is
out of the question. You stop the fluoro between barium presentations and
preparations and only fluoro as you give the command to swallow and until it
passes into the mid or upper esophagus-you should make sure that the bolus
passes through the entire esophagus and LES into the stomach in at least
one AP view and screen for reflux or obstruction (obstruction and reflux
are best seen by the use of large boluses and not part of our MBS).
