[Dysphagia] Oral hygiene

We are also trying to decide on the most appropriate product, with
research to back it. I have a lot of literature on the need for oral
hygiene, but very little current that compares the different
mouthwashes/rinses/toothpastes.

Right now my choices are chlorhexidine based mouthwash, a generic
alcohol free mouthwash or Sage products, with suction toothbrushes as
needed. One of our educators said that longterm use of chlorhexidine
is not good, so we might not go that way.

I would have a lot of leeway with the right research so would
appreciate any comments, suggestions or references.

Thanks,
Sharon
