[Dysphagia] Pedi VFSS reimbursement when done by an OT

According to the ruling by our Medicare reimbursement company, the clinical bedside nor the mbs are reimbursed when carried out by an SLP, OT in a hospital OR a SNF. The physician clinic is the only place it can be billed. And can only be reimbursed to the physician if he is in the building on site when the procedure is being performed. (I believe this also applies to FEES, but that isn't available in my work settings.
I personally find that ruling insulting as most physicians can't do a clinical or MBS ans see what they need to see. But this is a lesson in the power of ASHA as opposed to the AMA.
