[Dysphagia] zenkers diverticulum
I would probably recommend a puree or mainly puree diet (depends upon
whether she can move mechanical through by using lots of liquid washes). Be
sure she uses alternating bites and sips to wash out the solids. You
probably don't have to worry about aspiration of contents as she swallows.
More as it comes up. So upright position, small meals, slow pace.
By the way, if I were 95, I'd refuse surgical procedures too. ;-)
