[Dysphagia] VFSS recording equipment

Hi,
Is anyone aware of an easy-to-use, effective system for recording VFSS?  Our hospital has PACS but it is only capable of recording up to 4 frames per second.  We've tried a video camera but it resulted in a very poor-quality recording.  My radiology technician informs me that a conventional VCR has insufficient line rate and he has been unable to find a high line-rate VCR that is compatible with our existing equipment.  We are currently considering the possibility of a downscanner/digitial-video converter system that would be hooked up to a laptop computer and costs approximately $10,000.  Is there anything out there that's easier (and preferably cheaper)?
