[Dysphagia] Protocol for free water policy

Thanks so much to everyone who has responded so far. I've gotten some private e-mails from people saying they too would like the type of information I am seeking regarding free water policy. (Specific guidelines & protocols, screening forms, training materials for staff, educational materials for patients/families, etc.) ...So for anyone with experience in this, who is willing to share, I'm wondering if there's a way to compile resources online, to assist facilities with implementing a free water policy. I'm getting the sense that there are lots of facilities interested in implementing this, and just needing this type of info to get things off the ground. (Imagine if we could get to the point where "free water" was the norm for patients with dysphagia, instead of it being an unusual practice...)

  Happy Thanksgiving,

It was discussed in 1999 under the thread Frasier water protocol.
