[Dysphagia] listserve etiquitte

To the below response I have to say "well said"!!! I have been an acute care
SLP for ten years and I finally
signed up for the dysphagia listserve. I was faced with mixed feelings
regarding the posting/responses
from colleagues when their advise or help was sought out by a member of the
listserve. Let us all
remember that we ALL worked darn hard to earn our degrees and to get where
we are today.
That said, let us reread our responses to ourselves prior to pressing the
send button so we can think about
how the response will be interpreted by others. Colleagues are looking for
feedback, knowledge, related experiences,etc..
Colleagues are not looking for anyone to "take sides", be made to feel
inferior, or for an argument to start.
I hope that the time that I took out of my busy schedule to type this was
worth the effort!!
Thanks.
Barbara
