[Dysphagia] xerostomia post rad and diet choices

Dear Kim,
I find I am the least successful with post radiation patients. All
of the things you are doing seem appropriate. Your patient may need
an upper esophageal dilatation if there is no further progress. If
you and your patient are not already receiving the SPOHNC (Support for
People with oral and Head and Neck Cancer) newsletter, I would
strongly recommend it. Their number is 1 800 377-0928, web site is
www.spohnc.org. There is a fee ($25.00) but it is definitely worth
it. They have just published "Eat Well, Stay Nourished: A recipe and
resource guide for coping with eating challenges." ($17.50 plus S&H).
I haven't ordered it yet but plan to do so soon. Diane
