[Dysphagia] Guar vs Xanthan Gum

  • Subject: [Dysphagia] Guar vs Xanthan Gum

Hello

I am hoping that someone will be able to provide information regarding
the thickening agents Guar and Xanthan Gum, I am receiving contradicting
information from companies providing these products and am becoming
quite confused. I have been informed that Guar is quite a "bad" choice
of thickener due to a range of issues (from 'filling' the client up, to
interacting with medication), yet the provider of the Guar product
informs that these issues are incorrect.

If you can, I would greatly appreciate any feedback on this.

Thanks
