[Dysphagia] Fwd: cough/apraxia format for mbs reports
- Besides, how often does a
> "chin tuck" acutally work???
*** It works quite often if one does a chin tuck as
opposed to what is generally taught - NOT a chin tuck
but neck flexion that actually impairs the swallow by
interfering with the anterior movement of the hyoid. A
chin tuck is done thus: Put a finger on the nose and
pull straight back as far as is comfortable.
Irene.
