[Dysphagia] Re: Mouth moisturizer by Sage Products

does anyone know if 'benefiber' is available in Canada?

As for the aspiration of it, I was thinking perhaps the patient could
benefit from application with a toothbrush to the oral mucosa (perhaps of
the suction variety to take out extra secretions)...not optimal but better
than nothing at present perhaps.

Thanks,
Kim

Last time I checked, this product wasn't available in Canada.

Benefiber. It is clear and tasteless.

spitting the newer bulk laxative helps a great deal. I'm blanking on the
name but it's the one that's clear and is advertised as a substitute for
Metamucil. Anyone know the name? The principle would be that it adheres to
the oral mucosa and retains water. Seems logical. Used several times a day,
patients with Sjogren report major relief.
