[Dysphagia] chronic hiccups

Reduced oral motor and with severe hiccups (near constant hiccups). Nursing said that pt suffers from chronic hiccups and has had them for many years (I assume since his old stroke). Hiccups made swallow function difficult to assess. Curious as to tx for chronic hiccups. Suggestions?
