[DYSPHAGIA] Liquid Viscosities in VFSS



I have looked at the prethickened barium which is a wonderful idea but
appeared to be costly.  I was not able to compare it to the cost of basic
barium as that is ordered by radiology.  Seems as though it would be worth
investigation.  If you use powdered barium to start, you can prepare your
own recipes and measure out the amount of liquid added to produce each
consistency.  I did this for the chapter that I wrote on radiographic
examination in children with DD in the book by Rosenthal, Lotze and
Sheppard.
