Dear Irene:

The radiologists can bill per procedure in this country, also.  The real key is to know the politics of the facility.  I haven't had to fight this battle in recent years.  Radiologists are only sometimes interested in diversifying their service.  Gastro, Internal Med and PM&R have been helpful to me in the past with physician-to-physician communication.  "Frontal Assaults" from an SLP are tough for docs to take - especially if we're right!  The dollars issue data need to be available to your "champions".  However, reductions in LOS is a language that administrators like.
