[DYSPHAGIA] blue dye

I use regular supermarket blue dye (next to the vanilla extract!) during
FEES-type exams with our ENT in the nursing home. It turns vanilla pudding a
lovely aqua, and thickened apple juice a nasty shade of greenish yuck.

Has anyone experienced allergies with this stuff? I use about one drop per
few ounces of food.

Does Evans blue offer something that food-blue does not? Is it the same as
methelyne blue?

Best,
Shari B
