[DYSPHAGIA] neck isometric exercises

Has any one used neck isometric exercises in swallowing therapy?
Specifically, the exercises that I have read about are pressing the slightly
head forward, backward, and to both sides into resistance of your hands.
When I do these exercises, I feel muscles in my neck contracting, but will
that ultimately help with laryngeal elevation? Has anyone ever heard of
this or had success with such exercises?
