I have had numerous letters inquiring as to exactly what is SID#13 and
how one might get on the mailing list for the SID#13 Dysphagia and
Swallowing Disorders Newsletter.
The American Speech/Hearing Association (ASHA) has allowed the
formation of several authorized special interest divisions. These
divisions were chartered by ASHA for members who have through
professional practice, education or research developed an interest is
one of numerous specialties. Division #13 was established to promote
excellence in the research, diagnosis and treatment Dysphagia and
Swallowing Disorders. To become a member one has to first of all be a
member of ASHA, then indicate on the membership renewal form for
annual dues that you wish to become a member and pay the additional
annual affiliate fee. For further information I direct you to the
