	In regard to conferences related to tracheostomized and ventilator 
dependent patients, Mary Mason, M.S., CCC-SLP as well as Marta 
Kazandjian, M.A., CCC-SLP and Karen Dikeman, M.A., CCC-SLP are presenting 
seminars through Professional Marketing Seminars.  You may request a

pms@speechpaths.com.  In addition, Marta and Karen are scheduled for a 
conference on tracheostomized and ventilator dependent adults on 
September 27, 1997 through Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.  You may

	Passy-Muir Clinical Specialists Kris Ward, M.S., CCC-SLP and Sherry 
Blansfield, RCP, RRT will be presenting "Effective Intervention for 
Tracheostomy and Ventilator Patients Using the Passy-Muir Valve" at ASHA 
1997 Convention in Boston on Saturday November 22nd from 8:00 - 9:30 am.

	On Thursday, November 20th at ASHA, Sherry Blansfield and David 
Verrault, RRT from Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston will be 
presenting a short course, "Passy-Muir Valve Utilization During 
Mechanical Ventilation:  A Comprehensive Approach" from 12:00 - 3:00 pm.

	In August 1997 Passy-Muir will have available for purchase the 
Educational Seminar Videotape and Manual Set "Application of the 
Passy-Muir Speaking Valves with Tracheostomized and Ventilator dependent 
Patients:  A Team Approach".  These videotapes are a compilation of two 
popular nationwide educational one-day seminars featuring renowned guest 
speakers Marta Kazandjian and Karen Dikeman, Roxann Diez Gross, M.A., 
CCC-SLP and Angela Jerome-Ebel, R.N., MSN.

	Passy-Muir is now distributing Voicing! products which includes the 
textbook by author and national speaker Mary Mason:  "Speech Pathology 
for Tracheostomized and Ventilator Dependent Patients".

	Passy-Muir distributes several other Educational Textbooks and Materials 
on Tracheostomized and Ventilator Dependent Patients as well as offers a 
free clinical videotape and Research Literature Packet.  We have recently 
expanded our National Clinical Consultant Program so that we may 
facilitate educational inservices to facilities which provide services 
for trach and vent patients.  The consultants program includes  Speech 
Language Pathologists, Respiratory Therapists and Nurses who have 
extensive experience with tracheostomized and ventilator dependent 
patients who work full time in their facilities but have some flexibility 
to provide inservices in their area.
